Did you ever get in trouble and have to stay inside during recess or lunch and write lines on the dusty green chalkboard?

(Back when there were chalkboards, but not so far back that chalkboards were black and much harder to clean.  Back when kids went outside for lunch – i guess they still do for elementary school, but i was shocked to learn that Kristina would not be going outside at lunchtime in middle school.)

My lines generally had to do with not talking in class.  I was one of those kids who finished the work early and then wanted to be social.  Yep, one of those.  Nope, i’ve never really wondered where Kristina gets it from.  😉

So.  I’m not in trouble, but i do need to focus.  Here goes:

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

must clean bathroom

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

oh dear, guest bath needs to be scoured, also

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

to do: get more TP, or no one will be using the bathrooms

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

wash game jersey for K’s lacrosse game today

i will sit down and write today

walk dog before it rains – we both need the exercise

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

does making a list of things we want to get done over spring break (next week) count as writing?

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i didn’t think so

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

wait, i am sitting down and i am writing, right?

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

i will sit down and write today

Maybe i need to just stick with my first plan: Mondays are for getting stuff done and crossed off the list.  The abundance and range of family activities chaos of the weekend leaves the house in tatters, and it works for me to put the physical space in order before i try to get mental or creative work done.

listening to: Johnny Cash, I’ve Been Everywhere
(Rhapsody lists Johnny Cash as Outlaw Country – perfect)
